Hi, I don’t know how, but landed on your blog. I love drawing floor plans for fun and have been drawing one for my daughter’s future home. Was stumped with the master bath layout and ran across yours by accident (maybe there are no accidents!) Anyway, I wondered if you could answer two questions for me. Where can I find the plans online that go with those beautiful interior shots you show? I an referring to the one at the beginning of your blog where you show your first floor layout rendering. Does the photo of the white house before the floor plan go with it, or is that simply the exterior you are drawing the floor plan for? Thanks in advance, Leslie in southern Louisiana

Great to hear from you. Are you looking at the white house I posted on Oct. 3rd? If so, I found the pictures through Kohler. The floor plan is an adaptation that I worked up in my home design software, but the first floor changes were minimal. If you go here you can see the original floor plan and the photos: http://www.us.kohler.com/idea_homes/ideahomes.jsp?home=coastal You can also sometimes find the house (or a similar plan) here: http://www.habershamsc.com It was built in that SC community, and they sometimes have photos of others they’ve built. Let me know if I have posted about the wrong house, and we’ll try again.

Dear Katie,
That is the correct house! I do prefer your layout for the 1st floor. Good job! What software do you use? I used Punch 5in1 Design when I had a PC, but now have a Mac and am looking for a good home plan program. Any suggestions? Thanks for sharing this with me.
